ASTI
News Release
American Stainless Tubing, Inc. is pleased to announce
the acquisition of the plant and equipment of the Acme/Romac
facility located in Troutman, NC on June 30, 2003. In
an effort to better serve our customers, we will significantly
be expanding our products from a range of ½"
OD to 2-1/2" OD up to 5" OD and adding a variety
of shapes including Squares, Rectangles, Ellipticals
and many others. We will also offer polishing for most
of these items.
The founders of American Stainless also started Romac
Metals as a fabrication company in 1969 and built it
into a significant manufacturer of stainless tubing.
Having sold the business to Insilco in 1986, Paul Haughton,
Fred Lampe, and Tommy McCoy retired until former customers
convinced them to reenter the stainless tubing business.
American Stainless Tubing, Inc. was formed to "Set
the Quality Standard" in the stainless tubing business.
We are pleased to have the Troutman facility back in
our hands. We look forward to offering our expanded
product range with the quality that you, our customers,
have come to expect from ASTI. If you have any questions,
please do not hesitate to call us at 800-908-8823.
