Base Price Increases:

2009 has seen 3 base price increases (5/1/09 & 7/1/09 & 9/1/09) - looks like 2010 will start off with one also (1/1/10).

Monthly Surcharges - 2010 - Updated to include:

Feb.  2010 (Type 304 - $.7319) (Type 316-L - $1.0561) (Type 201 - $ .4984)  per pound
and

Mar.  2010 (Type 304 - $.8368) (Type 316-L - $1.2473) (Type 201 - $.5712 )  per pound

2006 News

Summary of base price increases - 2006- cold rolled stainless steel coil- 33% total

Base price increase announcements from North American Stainless and AK Steel follow in body of this email. Allegheny Ludlum announcements are attached in pdf files. Language differs in referring to transactional prices in some cases and base prices in other cases. Usually point reduction in discount rate from manufacturer list price is referred to. Each discount point reduction when applied to manufacturer list price results in a 3% reduction in base price-price paid for coil exclusive of surcharge.
